This is lesson #2 in the “Why Many Americans Abandon Jesus and The Bible” series.  The first error is doing what is right in your own eyes instead of what is right in God’s eyes.  God gave His people laws to follow instead of their own opinions, but one year after leaving Egypt God told them not to do what is right in own eyes.  40 years later in the wilderness they were still doing what was right in their own eyes.  400 years later they are still doing what was right in their own eyes.  Do we do what is right in our own eyes over what God says is right?  Do we complain?  Do we worship Jesus our way?  Do we flatter ourselves to the point that we cannot identify our own sin?  What is our motive in making decisions: to honor God or profit ourselves?  Featured speaker is David G.
